{"id":12251,"date":"2023-01-28T12:28:55","date_gmt":"2023-01-28T11:28:55","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www2.fiorinint.com\/fiorini-international-has-received-the-conai-ecodesign-packaging-award-2022\/"},"modified":"2023-01-28T12:28:55","modified_gmt":"2023-01-28T11:28:55","slug":"fiorini-international-has-received-the-conai-ecodesign-packaging-award-2022","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.fiorinint.com\/en\/fiorini-international-has-received-the-conai-ecodesign-packaging-award-2022\/","title":{"rendered":"Fiorini International has received the CONAI Ecodesign Packaging Award 2022"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Fiorini International wins the CONAI Ecodesign Packaging Award 2022 for the fully recyclable pasta bag with transparent window.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>We have always been responsible and committed to sustainability and recyclability issues: this is why we are proud to have received the <strong>CONAI award for Ecodesign of Packaging 2022<\/strong>, in the category <strong>Enabling recycling operations: <\/strong>the award organised by <strong>CONAI<\/strong>, the Italian manufacturers and consumers association that guarantees proper packaging recycling and reuse, recognizes and rewards the most innovative and sustainable packaging solutions launched during 2020-2021.<\/p>\n<p>We attended the competition with our paper pasta bag with transparent paper window, produced for <strong>Antico Pastificio Umbro<\/strong> and developed with the valuable collaboration of <strong>Mondi Group<\/strong>, our key partner in reaching the goal: to totally eliminate plastic by developing a <strong>fully recyclable bag<\/strong>, designed and produced in a sustainable way.<\/p>\n<p>In this ninth edition of the <strong>CONAI Award<\/strong>, 5 cases, out of the 390 presented and 250 admitted, have been awarded within <strong>\u201cL\u2019Economia del Futuro\u201d<\/strong> event, organised by <strong>Corriere della Sera<\/strong> in partnership with <strong>CONAI<\/strong>, in the inspirational stage of the <strong>Triennale di Milano<\/strong>, which was attended by important personalities of journalism, economics and research.<\/p>\n<p>The competition was addressed to companies that have invested in sustainability through the leverages <strong>of reuse<\/strong>, facilitation of <strong>recycling activities<\/strong>, use of recycled materials, raw material <strong>savings<\/strong>, <strong>optimization<\/strong> of logistics, <strong>simplification<\/strong> of the packaging system, and optimization of <strong>production processes<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The cases were evaluated using the <strong>Conai Eco Tool<\/strong>, a tool created to calculate, through a simplified <strong>LCA<\/strong> analysis, the estimated environmental benefits in terms of energy and water savings and reduction of CO2 emissions. Each submitted case has been validated by a third-party certification organization. The CONAI 2022 award <strong>focuses attention<\/strong> on the central role of<\/p>\n<p><strong>packaging design<\/strong> is a <strong>complex activity<\/strong> that must consider <strong>environmental impacts<\/strong> at all stages of its life and requires <strong>research<\/strong>, <strong>investments<\/strong>, and a <strong>clear vision of the future<\/strong>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Fiorini International wins the CONAI Ecodesign Packaging Award 2022 for the fully recyclable pasta bag with transparent window.
