Ecodesign and circular economy principles are important elements of our approach to packaging development. Our design activities focus on the use of resources and materials, as well as on assessing packaging characteristics related to recyclability and end-of-life management.
For the second consecutive year, we received the CONAI Ecopack Award for Ecodesign for a paper bag developed for the pet food sector. The recognition relates to the ecodesign characteristics and improvements assessed within the framework of the award.
The award provides further encouragement to continue investing in packaging design and development, considering material selection, resource efficiency and end-of-life aspects from the design stage.
For Fiorini International, packaging ecodesign is an ongoing process that requires research, investment, monitoring and assessment of different solutions throughout the packaging life cycle. It also means continuously reviewing products and processes to identify opportunities for improvement based on technical requirements, available technologies and applicable end-of-life systems.
