Ethical and environmental considerations are part of Fiorini International’s approach to business development and corporate activities. As part of this approach, the company has analysed employee home-to-work mobility to identify possible initiatives and services supporting alternative commuting options.
This analysis led to the introduction of a company carpooling programme based on the Jojob Real Time Carpooling platform, designed to give employees the opportunity to share their home-to-work journeys.
The service is available free of charge to around 600 employees. Through the Jojob Real Time App, employees can record and certify eligible carpooling journeys and view the indicators calculated by the platform in relation to their journeys.
During the first month of the initiative, the platform recorded 3,943.62 km associated with shared journeys and estimated 512.67 kg of CO₂ emissions avoided, according to the calculation methodology applied by the service.
For each eligible and certified home-to-work carpooling journey, up to a maximum of two journeys per day, employees can receive cashback credits that can be converted into shopping vouchers available through participating partner platforms.
The carpooling programme is one of the initiatives through which Fiorini International is addressing employee mobility, combining mobility management with tools designed to encourage participation in shared commuting.
